After the smartphones, Xiaomi is all set to launch its smartwatch now. Smartwatches are not a very new product now but Xiaomi is first time coming into this competition. Xiaomi, a big company of China has declared that it will formally launch its smartwatch in second half of 2016.
Liu De, the co- founder and Vice- President affirmed the presence of the smartwatch amid a media communication in Beijing. De didn’t uncover whatever other insights about the smartwatch. Xioami’s cell phones keep running on Google’s Android operating system and it is likely that its smartwatch too will be founded on the firm’s Android Wear stage.
Xiaomi is already in the market with its Mi Band. Xiaomi has also planned to launch the successor to the band on May 10 at an event in China.
According to the reports, Mi Band 2 will sport an LCD display and physical buttons to help users switch through different ways.
Liu also stated that Xiaomi is not going to enter into the vehicle market in the coming time as its Chinese rival LeEco. Though the company is interested in short-distance travel and already offers a “self- balancing” hoverboard called and $3000 electric bicycle.
The smartphone section of Xiaomi has though dropped off. Along with Lenovo, Xiaomi smartphones has fallen off from the top 5 smartphones.
